Set up the homepage

Hatstore comes with a ready-made homepage built from its shortcodes. You paste it into a page, then replace the sample text and images with your own.

1. Create the page

1. Go to Admin → Pages → Create.
2. Name it, for example "Home".
3. Set Template to Homepage.
4. Open the theme folder platform/themes/hatstore/sample/ and copy the contents of homepage-content.html into the page content (switch the editor to source/HTML mode first).
5. Save.

2. Make it the homepage

Go to Appearance → Theme options → Page, select your page as the homepage, and save.

3. Replace the sample content

Each block on the page is a shortcode. Click a block in the editor to open its settings, or edit the shortcode text directly. Then:

• Upload your own images for the hero slides, image tiles and promo banners.
• Give your brands a logo and mark them as featured so they appear in [brand-logos].
• Give your product categories an image for [category-tiles].

Transparent header

To lay the header over the hero slider, set Theme options → Header → Transparent header over the hero slider to Yes.
